Norma finds a home at King 1101
Norma tells her story at the King 1101 Grand Opening
Before coming to the King 1101 apartments, Norma, who is visually impaired, was struggling to find a home to rent. After years of working, her disability forced her to move from her home, and she eventually lost her job. At the Grand Opening of the King 1101 apartments, Norma spoke on behalf of the residents moving into the building, and told her story to a crowd of neighbors, community leaders, and government officials. Norma’s story is not uncommon, her situation can happen to anyone. Norma no longer feels isolated living at King 1101. Today she is able to utilize public transportation, and is going back to school to help others with disabilities overcome their challenges.
