Loma Verde Groundbreaking

The Holos team broke ground on our newest construction project, Loma Verde, on May 16th, marking Holos’ first partnership with Restore Neighborhoods LA (RNLA)! This site will bring 18 studio units of affordable and permanent supportive housing on a lot that is smaller than the average lot size for a single-family home in Los Angeles. With over 75% of Los Angeles zoned solely for single family housing, Loma Verde proves how the nooks and crannies of Los Angeles can be used to tackle the housing crisis.

To commemorate, Holos Communities Executive Director and CEO, Cristian Ahumada, was joined by Jenna Hornstock, Senior Advisor for Housing for Mayor Karen Bass, and Michael Batistick, Senior Homelessness Deputy for Hugo Soto-Martinez, Councilmember for Council District 13.

This groundbreaking was covered in Urbanize, and the full article can be found here.
