The Steps on St Andrews will be a 20-unit affordable and supportive housing development. Steps will consist of a renovated house and a new three-story wing in the back, connected via a community room and rooftop deck where residents will be able to congregate. The existing house will hold eight units, while the new wing will hold 12 units. There will be a large front yard overlooked by an expansive front porch. Holos will plant citrus trees in the front and back yards. Additional features will include an interior courtyard, a laundry room, bike storage, and a service office.

The Steps on St. Andrews project shows that preservation, affordable housing, and eco-conscious development can all go hand-in-hand. Not only has the architecturally significant Craftsman house originally on the property been refurbished into eight units, but in addition to eliminating the concrete podium typical in developments, the solar panels and back-up batteries being added to the project will lead to the project obtaining net-zero operations. Nearby public transportation will connect the residents of Steps to the surrounding community.
